If you are arriving by Scillonian and your luggage is clearly labelled for “Westford House”, it will be delivered by “Island Carriers”, a local carrier company, for a nominal fee. This saves waiting on the quay for it to be unloaded. We are approximately a 10-minute walk from the quay, so you may or may not want to use this service.
Please note that there is no Sunday travel to and from the islands except for July and August on the Scillonian III. Always check details with individual providers before booking accommodation with us. We are very happy to hold a room for you while you book your travel arrangements.
Train Travel
If you are intending to travel by train we advise that you do not book an Apex ticket for your return journey. Your departure from the islands can sometimes be subject to delays due to weather or technical issues. It would be wise to purchase a flexible ticket as Apex tickets are non transferable and non refundable. The sleeper service from London Paddington to Penzance is a comfortable and affordable way to travel as it saved the need for accommodation in Penzance!
