Tomorrow is the first day of the World Gig Championships on the Isles of Scilly. We have a Dutch crew Staying with us, they row the Irene Too. Its the first year they have entered and we wish them the best of luck! I was told there are over 120 teams entering this year so the competition is hot. Joanna is volunteering in the "tunnel" where the crews are fed and watered and I hope to get out on the water to support the rowers.
Update (May 22nd):
Our Dutch crew, The Black Dragons, finished 49th overall and won their final heat securing themselves a trophy! Well done to the whole team. Reinold, Leon, Els, Joost, Peter, Edward and Helmut. I've added a video of their final heat at the bottom of the page.
