Royal Visit

This past Tuesday we had the pleasure of Charles and Camilla visiting the Scilly Isles for the day. They were here to officially open the new Five Islands School - a year after the Queen unveiled a plaque to mark the opening of the new sports hall. They also visited the new veterinarians surgery where they met Dr Heike Dorn our local vet and the duchess unveiled a plaque. In the afternoon they went across to Bryher to visit the new Sussex gig shed where they met members of the Tresco and Bryher Gig Club, also the new Bryher Shop and Post Office, an art gallery and community centre.

Unfortunately they didn’t have time to stop by here for a cuppa but we did have the privilege to accommodate some of their security men at our B&B. We help where we can!

Below are some of my personal photos from the day.
